Mr Ribaudo leads the operations and strategic growth of Thrends. He has started his career in hospitality in 1998 within BW and LHW hotels, after which, in 2002, he moved to tourism and hospitality advisory working for Econstat, a niche leading consulting company (est. 1981). In 2005 he entered the Travel, Leisure and Tourism division of KPMG Italy, contributing to over 30 development, growth and turn-around projects in Italy, Montenegro, France, Russia. In 2012 he moved to Horwath HTL where, later on, he became Director, prior to starting up Thrends in 2020. He is adjunct professor at the University of Bologna and at the Bocconi University, teaching in the area of hospitality real estate and finance. He is a pioneer analyst in the field of hotel chains’ growth and development in the country, for which he took part in over 150 hospitality deals in the sphere of M&A, branding and new constructions in the last twenty years. Mr Ribaudo owns an MBA from the St. John’s University of New York and a MSc in Tourism Economics from the University of Bologna. He heads the advisory board of ITHIC since 2019.
