The luxury offer in the area is mainly made up of hotels independent. The only chain hotels are in fact the Belmond «Castello di Casole» and the Rosewood «Castiglion del Bosco». For regarding economic performance of the luxury establishments, 7 establishments out of the 17 in the area are classified, according to Thrends, top-luxury*.

In the years 2013 – 2019, the revenues/key of the top-luxury classified hotels have grown to a CAGR of +10.6%, rising from 121 thousand euros to 222 thousand euros. 2020 saw a collapse of the indicator equal to -70.3%, while in 2021, panel hotels caught up values equal to -21% of those recorded in 2019. Also in the years 2013 – 2019, the margins went from 27% to +18%.

In the years 2013 – 2019, the revenues/key of the classified hotels are not top-luxury grew at a CAGR of +8%, going from 41 thousand euros to 65 thousand euros. 2020 has seen a collapse of the indicator equal to -66.5%, while in 2021, panel hotels have reached values equal to -52% of those registered in 2019. Also in the years 2013 – 2019, margins went from -19% to +1%.
