The German Precise Hotels Group debuted in December in Rome with Precise House Mantegna Roma, 4* with 323 keys. Completing the hotel’s accommodation offer is a conference centre with 15 meeting rooms and an auditorium, with a total capacity of up to 1,500 seats, a covered car park and 2 restaurants. The hotel was previously part of the Barcelò portfolio and was named Barcelò Aran Mantegna. At the moment, therefore, according to Thrends’ Chain Hotels Database, the Barcelò Hotels Group, which has been active in Italy for some ten years, operates only two hotels: Barcelò Occidental Aran Park, 4* with 325 keys, and Barcelò Occidental Aurelia, 4* with 84 keys. Over the years, the Spanish group has discontinued the management of several hotels in our country: the Aran Blu in Ostia, Barcelò Milan, Floriana Village in Simeri Circhi (CZ) and Simeri Village, also located in Simeri Circhi. As reported by The Bulletin on 13.03.2023, the German Precise Hotels Group opened the 91-key 5* Poggio alla Sala Resort in Montepulciano (SI) in May 2023. The resort had been acquired by the German chain in July 2021 from Bayview Italy for EUR 6.5 million.
The hotel, built on the remains of an old 18th-century estate and consisting of five buildings, is located on a plot of more than 34,000 square metres. The CapEx investment for the repositioning of ‘Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala’ and the expansion from 51 to 91 keys (including 19 suites) would be around EUR 6.6 million. The hotel has a SPA with heated indoor pool and sauna, three outdoor pools, fitness room, restaurant and bar. Precise Hotels currently has a portfolio of 18 hotels and resorts located in Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Italy. Precise Hotels made its debut in Italy in December 2022, with ‘Precise House Montaperti Siena Italy’, 4* with 95 keys, located in Asciano (SI).
