The Grand Hotel Duchi d’Aosta is a  5-star hotel with 42 keys, located in Trieste, in Piazza Unità d’Italia. It is also equipped with the 2 Michelin-star restaurant Harry’s Piccolo. Recently it became part of the international Relais & Châteaux network, being the first 5-star hotel of the network in the region. As for villas, a phenomenon that literally exploded following the pandemic, in Italy there are 14 villas out of 600 in the world that are part of the Villas by Relais & Châteaux portfolio.

The Italian luxury segment represents an important component of the network’s portfolio, which has 36 5-star hotels, for a total of approximately 1,400 keys, and distributed in 14 Italian regions. According to the THRENDS Luxury Hotels Database, the 5-star hotels currently affiliated with Relais & Châteaux are mostly independent hotels (95%).
