A new extra luxury property could soon debut in Siena. The operation, for 20 million euros, involves the development of a 5-star hotel from the conversion of Palazzo Sozzini-Malavolti, which was in the past home to the “Università per Stranieri” (University for Foreigners) in Siena.
The building, according to local press sources, could be converted into a 5-star hotel and there could also be a starred restaurant overlooking the Follonica Valley. The palace still preserves frescoes and original paintings. The luxury project is now being examined by the Superintendency.
In Siena there are already 2 five-star hotels: La Bagnaia Golf & SPA Resort (101 keys), formerly Curio Collection By Hilton, and the Grand Hotel Continental (51 keys).
