Positive signals for outdoor tourism for summer 2022

These are the encouraging signs that emerge from the forecasts of the new edition of the Outdoor Tourism Observatory signed by Human Company, Florentine group leader in Italy in outdoor hospitality, created in collaboration with Thrends.

The scope of the analysis of the second edition of the Observatory focuses vertically on the camping and camping village segment, as a specific focus of a segment that is part of outdoor tourism. This second edition aims to provide a concrete and practical contribution to decisions strategies of entrepreneurs en plein air through a reading of what happened to the sector in these pandemic years and trying to make an estimate of the summer season that awaits us. The camping and camping village segment recorded 39.2 million visitors in 2021, or 39.1% more than 2020 but also 28% less than 2019.
